How do I insert a non-breaking space on slides?

To insert a non-breaking space on slides in PowerPoint, you have the following options:

  1. Use Ctrl+Shift+Space keyboard shortcut introduced by Shortcuts for PowerPoint.
  2. Enter the non-breaking space character through the keyboard. This character can be produced by keying in Alt+0160. Hold the Alt key and key in 0160 on the numeric keypad.
  3. Enter the non-breaking space character using Insert | Symbol... menu item. Look for the symbol just after Ÿ.
