How do navigate back and forth through multiple open presentations when comparing them side-by-side?

Microsoft Office PowerPoint provides a way to arrange presentation design windows side-by-side through Window | Arrange All menu item. This makes it easier to compare two presentations when setup as follows:

  1. Open 2 presentations in PowerPoint. Ensure that no other presentations are open.
  2. Select Window | Arrange All menu item.

But when you want to compare many slides in those 2 presentations, you would find that you have to navigate to previous/next slide in each presentation individually. A much easier way is to have a way to navigate through both presentations simultaneously. Shortcuts for PowerPoint add-in allows you to do that. After downloading and installing Shortcuts for PowerPoint add-in, do the following:

  1. Select Tools | Customize Shortcuts... menu item.
  2. Locate and select Shortcuts for PowerPoint category.
  3. Locate and select Next slide on all open presentations command.
  4. Press the desired key combination in Assigned shortcut to command box.
  5. Locate and select Previous slide on all open presentations command.
  6. Press the desired key combination in Assigned shortcut to command box.
  7. Click OK button.

Now when you use those assigned key combinations, all open presentations navigate simultaneously.
