This following tools are introduced by OfficeOne ProTools for
PowerPoint in the PowerPoint environment:
The ProTools Slide Properties toolbar shows the settings for the
currently active slide. It allows you to:
- Rename slides: Change the name of the slide from the one that
PowerPoint gave to the one that you want.
- Navigate to a slide using its name.
- Navigate to a slide using its index or the slide ID.
- Select whether the slide should display the shapes present on the
Master slide.
- Select whether the slide should have the background displayed from
the Master slide.
The ProTools Shape Properties toolbar shows the settings for the
currently selected shape. It allows you to:
- Rename shapes: Change the name of the selected shape from the one
that PowerPoint gave to the one that you want.
- Navigate to a shape using its name.
- Change the position of the shape.
- Change the height and width of the shape.
- Rotate the shape using angles.
- Change the cropping bounds of the shape.
- Change the margins of the shape.
- The shapes can be renamed, their position, height and width can be
changed even when they are part of a group. This is very powerful since
you don't have to dismantle the group of shapes to do these changes.
Many of the AutoShapes (Basic Shapes, Block Arrows, Callouts, etc.) allow
for adjustments. The adjustments can be done using the mouse pointer by
manipulating small yellow diamond (

). This
can be a tedious process and may not get you 100% precision required for
professional presentations. The ProTools Shape Adjustments toolbar allows
you to modify the adjustments of the shape using precise numbers. There are
in all 8 adjustments that you can make to a shape. Not all shapes support
all 8 adjustments. OfficeOne ProTools for PowerPoint activates only the
adjustments supported by the selected shape.
